Working with Google and 72andSunny, Novalia helped to create “digital paper” posters. Members of the public simply touch the print which then registers their vote to fund a non-profit organisation.

Google wanted to make it easy for people in the Bay Area of San Francisco to vote in its second Google Impact Challenge and this method simplified the voting process to a simple printed button touch as opposed to the typical online survey requiring individuals to access through a website form.

By stationing these eye-catching posters at local hubs such as restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, and food trucks, the team managed to maximise the exposure of the campaign to individuals that it would be relevant to. Just as importantly, this method helped uphold Google’s commitment to equal access for all.
